This season we look to color for its mood boosting qualities. Our current initiative in fashion is to stand out and make an impact. The print and color direction this summer allow us to do just that. Lush florals and tropical palms feel bold and energetic. The palette combines soft pastels with rich, saturated brights. Cropped jumpsuits, rompers, and soft shorts are perfect off-duty pieces. These playful looks are ideal for soaking up the sun.

“Color can capture the promise of hope and transformation that we yearn for each Spring….from the warmth and optimism of sunny yellow to cool blues and greens that speak to our dreams of escape.
We started this collection reflecting back. Inspiration came from the variety of trends that emerged in the '70s, the clean lines of the op art movement of the '60s, and the linear florals that bring to mind wallpaper and textile design from both of these decades. At its heart it's a celebration of what culminated in the '70s—a thrilling era of individuality and expression that you either loved or hated.
No matter what side you're on, our collection is meant to help you find your unique voice and style.” - Eloquii Style & Substance Blog Post

“In the spirit of the new year ahead, a bright beginning for our closets seems in order. We’re thinking calming, confident and modern wardrobe staples that maybe even have a great record of sartorial success.
Which brings us to our latest: a ‘70s inspired collection of styles that defined one of our favorite decades—khaki trenches, faded denim and midi lengths—mixed with new takes and trends. Oversized crochet lace tunics layered over everything, a new way to do the “exposed shoulder” thing (cutouts!) and prints you can mix or match. It’s equal parts throwback and throwforward (we made that word up but you get the idea).” - Eloquii Style & Substance Blog Post

“The buzzword of the fall season is individualism. No matter what perfectly matched or odd combination of clothes you throw on, be they straight off the runway or vintage finds, you’ve nailed it.
The crux of individualism is that it is a personal choice. Fashion tribes are splintering so much that we have become a tribe of one. The days of wardrobe uniformity are a thing of the past. More likely, you will cherry-pick pieces from different squads (rock n roll grunge, bohemian free spirit, or glitzy maximalist) and wear it your own way.
It’s the 60’s, it’s the 70’s, it’s the 90’s. It's bohemian, it’s the ingenue, it’s quirky, it's romantic. It's whatever you want it to be, and it works.” - Eloquii Style & Substance Blog Post

“The ’70s-inspired Boho fashion trend has been a staple on catwalk shows for a few seasons now, but it's high time Boho was made to step aside - get ready for the wild prairie girls. It’s Little House on the Prairie with a fresh sensuality. We mixed in sporty elements, new denim treatments and of the moment layered styling for a collection that is romantic, feminine and teamed with a hearty, free-spirited air.” - Eloquii Style & Substance Blog Post

Senior thesis project for my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Columbia College Chicago. This collection was inspired by the Danish fairytale, The Blue Jar, by Karen Blixen. In this story, a wealthy young English woman spends her life sailing around the world, searching for the perfect shade of rare blue china. The china represents her soul mate, a poor sailor who her father won’t allow her to marry. The collection captures her desperation as she sails from one country to the next searching for the one she loves. She slowly loses her former identity as she becomes one with the sea. To create this collection, I experimented with hand beading, crocheting, draping, and fabric manipulation.
